To fund a good cause start your own foundation

What can you do to make the world a better place? One of the best things you can do is create a charitable foundation to contribute to a cause that's near and dear to you. Establishing a foundation is no longer an activity confined to the wealthy. By definition, a foundation is simply a philanthropic organization that contributes financially to designated causes. Anyone - regardless of income - can set up a foundation, according to the National Heritage Foundation. In fact, the organization's mission is to help individuals and corporations do just that. Established in 1968, the National Heritage Foundation provides the tools and support needed to set up foundations for charitable, educational, scientific or religious activities. It takes care of all of the administrative tasks involved in running a foundation, including receiving all donations, making disbursements, sending charitable receipts for donations, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. It also can help with marketing and fundraising strategies. To date, nearly 9,000 foundations have been created under the National Heritage Foundation umbrella. Here are some examples of foundations you can start. * A foundation for your community that contributes to beautification projects, public works and safety initiatives, and recreation programs. * A foundation for athletes. * A foundation for the disabled. * A foundation that helps fund projects in foreign countries. * A foundation to benefit a school, college, hospital or place of worship.

Hampers aids in house organization

In today fast pace, being disorganized is not an option. Disorganization can lead to confusion, wastage of time effort and money. Simple organizing can prevent clutter, having no clutter to clear thinking and clear thinking to efficiency. Neglecting to clean the house even for one day can make it harder for anybody to clean on the following days. Clutter starts to pile up. Something gets lost somewhere. The mess creates confusion and the house starts not to be an enjoyable place anymore. When it was said that everything starts at home, clutter too could be one of the reasons. One of the best and tested approaches to organization is grouping things into categories. When lumped into categories, the mind is directed to easily recognize which group is assigned to what which therefore makes for easy recall. There are many organization tools available in the market today one of the simplest, most efficient and least expensive is the hamper. This simple basket is great at compartmentalizing things. It can make your organizing more simple and easier. One hamper alone when used in a room can already substantially increase the room space that used linen and clothes occupy. Then you can start fixing up the place one at a time. Spending 30 minutes a day to clear up the clutter and start organizing will do amazing things in home organization. The hamper has been synonymous with linen and laundry but it can also be used as storage spaces in lieu of boxes and can be good extension for cabinet spaces. You do not have to do the clearing up yourself. Kids can be trained for the task. Place a hamper in each room where dirty clothes will be assigned. When everything is dropped into the floor, it will take you time to pick it all up. A hamper on the floor can be just as good as throwing things on it. Boys are generally known to create more clutter than girls do but if a hamper is placed, they often treat it like hoops and start practicing their shooting arms at it. Once a part of the home starts getting organized others can easily follow. Children are good at picking ideas up and doing correlation. Girls are not so much of a problem but smaller kids usually are. If that is the case, a favorite cartoon character can be attached to it. Organizing will always attract better response in children if it is done creatively and playfully. To rid of the clutter, and make organizing the house faster, do not hesitate to discard things that are no longer used. For many that could be hard to follow even when common sense tells them that they should. If it is the same with you, select things that you can discard or donate. Others you can keep in the attic while some remains in your cabinet. After a year that the old things are not yet used throw it out. Because things that ceases to serve a purpose does not have to occupy and clutter the house. Assign a hamper in the bathroom and the same effect can be duplicated. Tossing dirty laundry on the hamper is just the same as throwing things on the floor. As the idea is picked, the house gets better organized, and the habit is developed.

Omaha rules how to play omaha poker

: Omaha poker is starting to become almost as popular as Texas Holdem poker in casino poker rooms, online poker sites and live poker tournaments. Omaha poker rules are similar to Texas Holdem rules. In both poker variations the dealers deals community cards, which can be shared by all the players. However, Omaha poker and Texas Holdem poker are different games and they certainly require using different strategy. Omaha poker can be played as fixed limit, no limit or pot limit. In addition, Omaha poker can be played as high or high low split. Here you can find introduction to both Omaha high and Omaha high low rules. Omaha High Rules The play begins with the player to the dealers immediate left who posts the small blind, usually the amount of half of the minimum bet. For example, in a 4/8 dollars limit game, the small blind will be 2 dollars. Then, the player to the left of the small blind posts the big blind, which is the size of the minimum bet, 4 dollars according to this example. After the blinds are posted, the dealer deals each player four face down cards, starting from the small blind and continuing clockwise. The first round of betting begins with the player to the big blind left who can choose between calling, raising or folding. If he chooses to call, he has to place a bet equal to the size of the minimum bet, if he raises, he places a bet double the amount of the minimum bet, and if he chooses to fold, he forfeits his hand. The first round of betting continues until it gets to the player who posted the small blind. If he chooses to call, he can place only half of the minimum bet, which together with the small blind will complete the amount of the minimum bet. Afterwards, the round of betting gets to the big blind who can either raise or check. After the first round of betting is complete, the dealer places three face up cards in the center of the table. These are known as community cards and this stage of the game is called the flop. After the flop, the second round of betting begins with the player to the dealers left. The minimum bet remains 4 dollars. When the second round of betting is done, the dealer places a fourth community card in the center of the casino table, known as the turn. Then, begins another round of betting in which the minimum bet raises to 8 dollars. This round of betting starts with the player to the dealers left. After this betting round, the dealer will place the last community card in the center of the table, which is called the river. The river is followed by the final round of betting with a minimum bet of 8 dollars. After the last round of betting, all the remaining players are exposing their hands, known as the showdown. Each player has to use two cards of his four cards and three of the five community cards to form the highest possible five cards hand. In an Omaha high game, the player whose five card hand is the highest wins the pot. Omaha High Low Rules Omaha high low is played exactly like Omaha high until the showdown. In Omaha high low, the pot is split between two winners: the player who had formed the highest hand and the player who has the best low hand. If none of the players has a qualifying low hand, the player who holds the highest hand wins the entire pot. Omaha high low is also referred to as Omaha 8 or better. It means that in order to qualify as low hand, the hand cannot contain any 8s or cards of higher value. The best possible low hand is called the wheel. A, 2, 3, 4, 5. Ace value can be either high or low and flushes and straights are disregarded. It sometimes occurs in Omaha high low poker game that the pot splits between more than two players. It can also happen that one player, who holds both high and low hands at the same five card poker hand, wins the entire pot.

Pearl guide pearl formation distinction value and care

Pearl Formation Pearls are considered as organic gems, as they are created by living creatures. It is characterized as a hard object that is produced inside the soft tissue of a mollusk shell. It is composed of calcium carbonate in very little crystalline form which is called nacre. This material is deposited in concentric layers, and has the same material as the shell of the mollusk. The natural process starts when a mollusk encounters an irritating microscopic object trapped within its folds. Then it will start coating the object with nacre to produce pearl. Ideally, a pearl should be round and smooth, but there are also irregularly shaped ones, which are called "baroque pearls". Pearl Distinction Do you know how to distinguish a freshwater from a saltwater pearl? They may look somewhat similar, but they come from different sources. Saltwater pearls are formed inside pearl oysters, which lives in tropical oceans. These are called Akoya, Tahitian, or South Sea pearls. On the other hand, freshwater pearls are formed inside mussels living in rivers, lakes or ponds. Jewelers can tell if the pearl is natural or cultivated by running an x-ray in the gem lab. If the pearl reveals a nucleus in the x-ray, it is a natural saltwater pearl. If there is no nucleus present, but instead there are irregular and dark inner spots that indicate a visible cavity, then the pearl is cultured in freshwater. Natural pearls are usually sold using carat weight, while cultured pearls are sold in millimeters depending on their size. Pearl Value The value of the pearl depends upon its luster, size, color, lack of flaw and good symmetry. Among these, luster is the most important one. Luster depends upon the refraction and reflection of light from its translucent layers. This can be unique in each pearl where the more layers of the iridescent nacre there are, the finer the luster. Definitely, the bigger the pearl the more expensive it is. Also, if the shape is perfectly round, it is very rare and valued. In terms of color, the black pearl is more expensive than their white counterpart. Pearl Care Pearls are made into necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants and even rings. It is a gemstone that is truly beautiful and splendid. If you bought some freshwater cultured pearls lately, it is important to know how you should clean and care for it. These are some tips for you to follow: 1. Put your pearls on after applying your make-up, perfume and lotion. 2. Wipe it with a soft cloth (lint-free) as you take them off. This cloth may be dry or damp. If damp, the pearls should be air dried before storing it. 3. If it gets dirty, clean your pearls with mild soap and water. Never clean it with solutions that contain harsh ingredients. 4. Do not use abrasive cleaners or rough cloth. Both can wear away the nacre coating fast. 5. Do not store pearls beside other jewelries, as they can be scratched easily. Keep it in a special corner of your jewelry box or place them in a soft little bag individually.

Online scams how to avoid getting fooled

Beware of the three ways of getting fooled into giving up your money through seemingly innocent money-making schemes. Scams are all around us and it can be found in every single area of life, but more so in such areas where the risk is greater such as when dealing with credit cards, bank accounts and other activities which involve sending or receiving money online. The Bank/Credit Card Email Scam: If you get an email asking you to sign up to your bank account or credit card through the email because your privacy is under danger or just to receive a free gift or something: BEWARE! Do not sign up through the internet address provided in the email. If the email does make you anxious, go to the bank or credit card site using the address you know already or through searching the search engines. How Does This Scam Work? The senders of the email know that only a very few will sign up but that is all they need. When you signed up to the bogus internet address, they got your user and password. Now its time for them to party! The Missing Millionaire Scam: If you receive an email saying that they represent a dead or missing former ruler, high-ranking official or businessman from an African, Gulf or even Russian: BEWARE! They offer you a chance to earn anything between one to five percent of ten to fifty million. And for your co-operation only. Don't get sucked into this, for though they speak of giving you money, they will receive cash and from your account. How Does This Scam Work? They will ask you for your bank details in order to transfer the cash and then they will use that to transfer a small amount. Now, once you trust them, they will ask you for more personal and secure details because they "need" that to transfer the entire sum in and out of your account. What they won't tell you is that they will transfer all the money out from your account: theirs and yours. The Make Money Fast Scam: This is the most innocent of the lot, but that is also why it is the most dangerous. These are so-called companies that advertise that if you only sign up and use their system, you will mint money. Please do not fall for such schemes. They will pay you some money but then once trust is built, they will fleece your bank account. Remember that quick money scams are the surest and fastest way to lose all your money! Conclusion: Whatever you do online, always remember that the internet is not a safe place. Treat it like you would treat any other business venture and bring up your guard. If you play it safe and check out the companies before committing, you will be able to guard yourself against losing money to crooks.
